Cahal Pech-Cahal Pech site is located on a steep hill on the outskirts of San Ignacio. This ceremonial center is one of the earliest sites occupied by the Mayas in the country around (1200 BC). Investigations at Cahal Pech have provided a wealth of information that help to understand the importance of ceremonies in the pre-classic period, and the flourishing of the Maya culture. This site is composed of temples, palaces, and a ball-court. Some major buildings were roofed with the Maya vault. The occupation probably ran through the entire Classic Period. A small museum is located next to the site. Over the years, archaeologists have found many wonderful artifacts some of which are kept in the museum.


Che Chem Ha-This cave contains Maya artifacts including ancient pottery vessels, incense burners, and a circle of special carved stones where animal sacrifices were made and prayers to underworld gods were spoken. Che Chem Ha also known as Vaca Cave is located in the Vaca Falls area which is a scenic and rocky plunge along the Macal River. Che Chem Ha is located 8 miles from Benque Viejo Town.


Mopan River (Kayaking or Tubing)- The Mopan River originates in Guatemala and flows into Belize to meet with the Macal River and form the Belize River (Old River) one of Belize's major rivers. With inflatable kayaks or inner tubes float down and encounter light rapids (class two or depending on water level) with cascading falls and breath-taking scenery. Maya villagers still bathe and wash their clothes in the river, giving you a glimpse of real life in this part of the world. While floating down you will witness a vast array of flora and fauna which your guide will explain .
